The 'Donate4Kate' project seeks funds for the Kate Philp Melanoma Research Fund, which was created in memory of Kate Philp, who lost her three-year battle with melanoma on 13 March 2010, aged 22 years. Funds raised go to support research into melanoma in the hope that a cure for this deadly cancer will be found. In addition, Donate4Kate aims to raise awareness of this disease in the local community and further afield.

Odd Socks week is about encouraging local business to get involved in this great cause.

This year, SportUNE is holding a number of 'gold coin donation classes' open to the whole community and we're encouraging you to get dressed in your best and most outrageous socks, with plenty of prizes available including tee's, hoodies, coffee vouchers, drink bottles, etc.
