Local businesses will have a unique opportunity when the Parramatta Eels visit Armidale this summer for their pre-season training camp at the University of New England.
Businesses are invited to get involved in this exciting opportunity, through activities such as window dressing, NRL and Parramatta Eels oriented programs and through involvement in a booklet of retail vouchers.
This will raise the profile of Armidale businesses through inclusion in highly publicisied events, cross promotion and the attraction of high traffic to Armidale businesses.
The training camp is expected to attract National Rugby Union and Parramatta Eels fans to Armidale from around the region.
The Parramatta Eels are one of the most recognised sporting teams in Australia, which will give Armidale national exposure.
The Armidale region has been attracting many big sporting events to Armidale which generates millions of dollars for local businesses.
Armidale is a prime location for sports tourism because of its playing fields, state-of-the-art training and sport science facilities, accommodation options at the university and the unique opportunity for altitude training.
