Twilight Soccer

1. The maximum number of players permitted to take the field is seven (7) mixed must always include at least 3 women on the field.
2. The minimum number of players that can be fielded without incurring a forfeit is four (4).
3. The maximum registered players for any team are twelve (12).

All players MUST wear shin pads that adequately cover the shin. No player may enter the field without shin pads. All Jewellery must be removed before taking the field.

Tuesday evenings (13^th October to 8^th December)
Under 10’s at 4pm, Under 12’s at 5pm and Women’s at 6pm & 7pm

Wednesday evenings (14^th October – 9^th December)
Opens at 6pm & 7pm.

Thursday evenings (15^th October – 10^th December)
Under 14’s at 4pm, Under 16’s at 5pm, Mixed at 6pm & 7pm.

1. Each match will be 2 x 25-minute halves-(5-minute half time and 5-minute changeover of games). Where a game commences late, the referee may reduce the time of each half by up to 5 minutes to ensure fixtures finish on time.
2. In the event of a match ending in a draw, this result will stand. No extra time or any other method will be employed to resolve the draw unless in a final.
3. All matches should commence within 5 minutes of the designated starting time. There is no stoppage time.
4. All matches must finish at the designated finish time. There is no stoppage time. e.g. if a game starts late the length of the game is reduced and must finish on time.

• All kick offs to be taken from the halfway line (start of play and after goals scored).
• No sliding tackles are permitted.  Players must be on both feet to make a tackle or an indirect free kick will be awarded.
• A player (other than the goalkeeper) who deliberately handles the ball to prevent a goal will concede a ‘penalty’ and shall be cautioned.
• ‘Penalty’ kicks for goal are taken from directly in front of goal –12 yards out.
• Kick outs from the goal line – opposition players cannot enter the goal circle until the ball has cleared the circle or has been touched by another player (other than the original kicker). All goal kicks should be taken within a metre of the goal line and within the goal circle.
• A goal cannot be scored directly from a sideline ‘kick-in’.
• No offside rules apply.
• All teams must have a designated goalkeeper who may only handle the ball inside the goal circle.

Unlimited interchange – play does not stop for an interchange to take place. Interchanges to take place from halfway during a stoppage of play. The player substituted must leave the field before the substitute takes the field.

• Win – 5 points
• Score draw – 3 points
• Scoreless draw – 2 points
• Loss – 1 point
• Forfeit – 0 points

Each team must have a minimum of four (4) players before they can take the field. Players should be warmed up and ready to play at the exact scheduled time.

If a team is not able to take the field after five (5) minutes, one goal will be scored against them for every 2 minutes thereafter and up to 3 goals.

If a team is still not able to field a team 11 minutes after the scheduled starting time they will be forfeited.

Forfeit Score:  5-0

Yellow and Red cards will be issued in accordance with FFA regulations.

All red card disciplinary matters will be dealt with by SportUNE.

Parents and/or guardian will be notified if any player 16 years and under receives a Yellow and/or Red card.

All players MUST be registered with SportUNE.

The “Twilight Football Insurance Waiver Form” must be signed by players before they can take the field.

Players are only eligible to play in the team that they are nominated in.

• Teams forfeiting games will receive five goals to nil loss.
• Teams playing unregistered players are deemed to have forfeited the game.
• Teams playing players from other teams are deemed to have forfeited the game.

In the event of two or more teams having the same number of points at the conclusion of round matches, the winner or finalists will be determined by applying the following criteria:

1. The team with the highest goal difference, i.e. (goals for – goals against)
2. In the event of the goal difference being equal, the team scoring the highest number of goals shall be placed above the other team(s).
3. If this still does not separate teams, then the team with the best result against the top team in their pool shall be placed above the other team(s). The best result to be determined by applying the following in order until the teams are separated: 1) Largest winning margin 2) Highest scoring draw 3) Lowest losing margin.
4. If this still does not separate teams, then the toss of a coin will decide the winner.

If scores are drawn at the end of normal time, two extra periods of ten (10) minutes duration shall be played with the golden goal rule applying.

At the end of this period, if the scores are still tied, a best of five (5) penalty shoot-outs will take place. If both teams score the same number of penalties, a ‘sudden death’ penalty shoot-out will apply.

The SportUNE Twilight Competition will run on from October 13th October 2020 and will wrap up on December 10th.

• Registration prices are for the team, not the individual
• The competitions are 7 aside, and up to 12 players can be registered for any team.

Juniors: $400 per team (Max 12 Players)

Seniors: $600 per team (Max 12 Players)

No refunds will be issued after the competition starts, unless exceptional circumstances apply, and approval is given by the competition Administrator.

Only those players registered on a teams “Registration and Insurance Waiver Form 2020” are allowed to play. If the team needs to add player/s, or remove a player then add another player, the new player/s must register before they play by completing a Registration and Insurance Waiver Form 2020.

SportUNE Twilight Soccer Competition is a community competition, and we welcome anyone to register.

At each match all players are required to have/wear;

• Uniform
• Football boots
• Shin pads
• A water bottle
• Completed the insurance waiver form

All injury/incidents/near misses relating the SportUNE Twilight Soccer falls under the Football League competitions.

Incidents MUST be completed within 72 hours of the incident occurring.

COMPLETE INCIDENT REPORT

If a send-off occours in any game a Match Official Send-Off Expulsion Report must be completed and returned to SportUNE Football League for governance.
