Duval College Netball Club

A student-led netball club made up of university residents from Duval College! We facilitate the participation of residents in the SportUNE annual netball season, for both women’s and mixed netball competitions.
In our club we value netball as a tool not only to produce some quality play on the court, but also for Duval residents to connect with teammates, and enjoy getting involved in community sport. This means we cater to all levels, no matter if it’s your first season of netball or a if you are a skilled player.

New England Nomads AFL

New England Nomads is an Australian Football Club based in Armidale in the New England region of New South Wales.

The club plays its home matches at the University of New England’s Bellevue Oval, however the club represents the whole of the Armidale area with members from the city and outlying districts as well as from the university community.

UNE Futsal Club

Join us and experience why futsal is regarded as the ultimate game for skill, speed, and teamwork.

There will be opportunities to represent UNE at the University Games with training sessions set up and regular games during the season.

UNE Volleyball Club

Come join in one of the most popular team sports at UNE! Perfect for groups of friends, college teams, community members and everyone in between. With the club being reactivated back in 2011, the sport has grown substantially at UNE with more than 30 teams competing throughout the Trimesters.

The UNE Volleyball Club holds weekly games on Monday Nights all throughout Trimester 1 and 2, with a shortened competition during Trimester 3. There is a division for everyone with our Competitive Div 1 side, Intermediate Div 2, and our Novice Div 3/4 side. Depending on turnout there is also the chance for development training at the beginning of the evening each Monday as well.

The UNE Volleyball Club also holds our annual 2-day Tournament “Frosty Balls” each year in June, and regularly sends a Representative Side to external competitions held in Coffs Harbour, Ballina, Port Macquarie and more. If you are an experienced player, would like to build up your skills, or would like to ask a question, we would love to hear from you.

UNE Waterpolo Club

Water polo is an excellent sport for increasing fitness, making friends, having fun and challenging yourself. If you haven’t played before that is A-OK! All we ask is that you can swim 100 meters confidently, as confidence in the water is essential to Water Polo.

UNE Hockey Club

UNE Hockey Club plays in the Hockey New England competition in Armidale, NSW. UNE Hockey Club is open to all players, regardless of previous experience and not exclusive to students. We aim to play Hockey in a fun and a competitive way.

UNE Hockey Club’s Men’s B Grade side were Minor Premiers in the 2025 Hockey New England Season. UNE Hockey Club were also shortlisted for the UNE Sports Club of the Year award.

Come and join us for the 2026 Season! Fill in the expression of interest form and we will be in touch early next year with more details of the season. UNE Hockey Club is hoping to run multiple Men’s sides and also look to expand into the Women’s competition to run a Division 1 side and a Division 2 side if numbers permit.
