SportUNE hosts a fun and social Twilight Soccer competition that spans three evenings each summer. Whether you’re 10-16 years old or part of an open men’s, women’s, or mixed team, there’s a spot for everyone, no matter your skill level.

- Juniors: $550 (Max 12 Players)
- Seniors: $700 (Max 12 Players)
Refunds
No refunds will be given once the competition begins, except in exceptional circumstances and with approval from the competition Administrator.

Competition Nights and Times
2024 Competition
Will commence on 14 October finishing in the first week of December.
Tuesday
- U12s: 5pm
- Women’s: from 6pm
Wednesday
- Men’s: from 6pm
Thursday
- U14s: 4pm
- U16s: 5pm
- Mixed: from 6pm
Team Size
- The maximum number of players permitted to take the field is seven (7) mixed must always include at least 3 women on the field.
- The minimum number of players that can be fielded without incurring a forfeit is four (4).
- The maximum registered players for any team are twelve (12).

Match Duration
- Each match will be 2 x 25-minute halves-(5-minute half time and 5-minute changeover of games). Where a game commences late, the referee may reduce the time of each half by up to 5 minutes to ensure fixtures finish on time.
- In the event of a match ending in a draw, this result will stand. No extra time or any other method will be employed to resolve the draw unless in a final.
- All matches should commence within 5 minutes of the designated starting time. There is no stoppage time.
- All matches must finish at the designated finish time. There is no stoppage time. e.g. if a game starts late the length of the game is reduced and must finish on time.

Game Rules
- All kickoffs are to be taken from the halfway line (at start of play and after goals are scored).
- No sliding tackles are permitted. Players must be on both feet to make a tackle or an indirect free kick will be awarded.
- A player (other than the goalkeeper) who deliberately handles the ball to prevent a goal will concede a ‘penalty’ and shall be cautioned.
- ‘Penalty’ kicks for goal are taken from directly in front of goal –12 yards out.
- Kickoffs from the goal line – opposition players cannot enter the goal circle until the ball has cleared the circle or has been touched by another player (other than the original kicker). All goal kicks should be taken within a metre of the goal line and the goal circle.
- A goal cannot be scored directly from a sideline ‘kick-in’.
- No offside rules apply.
- All teams must have a designated goalkeeper who may only handle the ball inside the goal circle.

Interchanges
- Unlimited interchange is allowed, and play does not stop for substitutions.
- Interchanges must occur from the halfway line during a stoppage.
- The substituted player must leave the field before the substitute enters.

Points System
- Win – 5 points
- Score draw – 3 points
- Scoreless draw – 2 points
- Loss – 1 point
- Forfeit – 0 points
Forfeit Rules
Each team must have a minimum of four (4) players before they can take the field. Players should be warmed up and ready to play at the exact scheduled time.
If a team is not able to take the field after five (5) minutes, one goal will be scored against them for every 2 minutes thereafter and up to 3 goals.
If a team is still not able to field a team 11 minutes after the scheduled starting time they will be forfeited.
Forfeit Score: 5-0

Shin Pads and Jewellery
- All players must wear shin pads that fully cover the shin. Players are not allowed on the field without them.
- All jewellery must be removed before entering the field.

Caution Card
- Yellow and red cards will be issued in line with FFA regulations.
- All red card disciplinary matters will be handled by SportUNE.
- Parents or guardians will be notified if any player aged 16 or under receives a yellow or red card.

Match Official Send-Off Expulsion Report
If a send-off occours in any game a Match Official Send-Off Expulsion Report must be completed and returned to SportUNE Football League for governance.
Incident Reporting
All injuries, incidents, and near misses related to SportUNE Twilight Soccer fall under the Football League competitions.
All incidents must be reported within 72 hours of occurrence.
