The SportUNE Netball Competitions cater for players from 16 years and up.

All injury/incidents/near misses relating SportUNE’s community competitions MUST be reported as soon as reasonably practicable.
For Insurance purposes, injury reports must be completed within 72 hours of the incident occurring.
All SportUNE competition’s are subject to our terms and conditions including our code of conduct.
CODE OF CONDUCT
INTRODUCTION
The SportUNE Netball Competition Code of Conduct provides a set of principles and expectations for all participants to create a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment. By following this Code of Conduct, participants contribute to the positive culture of the competition and help maintain the integrity of the game. All participants are required to abide by the Code of Conduct to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
GENERAL PRINCIPLES
As a participant in the SportUNE Netball Competition, you are expected to:
– Show respect for all players, opponents, and spectators.
– Demonstrate good sportsmanship by playing fairly, following the rules, and encouraging positive competition.
– Respect each team’s calls and work together to resolve disagreements in a fair and sportsmanlike manner.
– Respect diversity and inclusion by treating everyone with dignity, regardless of gender, ability, background, or beliefs.
– Avoid foul or aggressive behaviour, including excessive arguing, physical altercations, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
– Refrain from using offensive language or engaging in verbal abuse towards others.
– Care for the playing environment, including courts, nets, and equipment.
– Refrain from using performance-enhancing or illegal substances.
– Follow all safety guidelines to prevent injury and ensure fair play.
ON-COURT BEHAVIOUR
By participating in the SportUNE Netball Competition, you agree to:
– Play with integrity and respect the spirit of the game.
– Respect each team’s right to make calls and communicate calmly to resolve any disputes.
– Avoid unnecessary delays, time-wasting, or gamesmanship.
– Shake hands or acknowledge opponents at the end of a match.
– Avoid intentional distractions, excessive celebrations, or any form of taunting.
– Accept both victory and defeat with grace.
CONSEQUENCES OF MISCONDUCT
Breaches of the SportUNE Netball Competition Code of Conduct may result in:
– Warnings or cautions from SportUNE staff.
– Temporary or permanent suspension from matches or the competition.
– Forfeiture of matches or competition points.
– Further disciplinary action by SportUNE.
By playing in a SportUNE Netball Competition, all participants agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and accept any consequences resulting from violations.
If an incident occurs during any game a Grievance Report must be completed.
This procedure provides a clear and fair process for addressing concerns, complaints, or disputes that arise during SportUNE sanctioned competitions. It ensures all participants feel heard and that issues are managed respectfully, promptly, and in line with our code of behaviour.

All outcomes will be communicated in writing to the involved parties.
If a participant disagrees with the outcome, they may submit a written appeal within 7 days of receiving the decision. Appeals will be reviewed by a senior SportUNE staff member or impartial panel.

The UNE Netball Competitions will comply with all rules in the current Netball NSW rules along with some variations for the SportUNE competitions.
Age Restrictions
Competition points are as follows:
i) Four points for a win
ii) Two points for a draw
iii) Zero points for a loss
iv) Zero points for giving a forfeit before 12pm Friday
v) Zero points for giving a forfeit and a $50 fine to the club if after 12pm Friday before round commencement
vi) Four points for receiving a forfeit
vii) Two points each team for a washout
The UNE Netball Competitions will comply with all rules in the current Netball NSW rules along with some variations for the SportUNE competitions.
